ITE Transactions on Media Technology and Applications
The Institute of Image Information and Television Engineers (ITE) has decided to launch a new journal, titled “Media Technology and Applications” (MTA). To the present day, many researchers have exchanged their ideas through the Journal of the Institute of Image Information and Television Engineers. That journal is devoted to the technology, design and applications of Multimedia computation, with emphasis given to novel engineering systems, scientific applications, and industrial engineering trials, and is not limited to image and video processing.
That exchange has led to the foundation and subsequent active growth of several fruitful research fields, with novel fields still being created to the present day. In order to strongly support this trend and further accelerate innovation of this research field, the ITE will commence publishing the new openly-accessible MTA journal in January 2013. In order to accelerate vital discussion, the MTA has wide research field coverage and provides a Quick Review Process. Authors' accomplishments are promptly disseminated.
The following special issues have already been prepared:
i) Special Section on Review of Media Technology and Applications (January 2013)
ii) Special Section on Multimedia Content Analysis (April, 2013)
iii) Special Section on Multi-Modal Integration and Understanding (July, 2013)
iv) Special Section on Advanced Image Technology (October, 2013)
* The MTA is a quarterly journal, which is published in January, April, July, and October every year.
The above Call for Papers will be published soon. Please check the ITE web site and submit your original work. We have already started to accept submissions for regular papers, letters and correspondences. Authors are invited to submit original research papers and letters as MTA regular papers and/or special section papers.
The ITE hopes that the MTA will play an important role in publishing and disseminating accomplishments in advanced media technology and applications in the near future.
If the manuscript is submitted until March 2013, the publication fee is free. The publication fee of submission after March 2013 will be announced soon. Details are described in the Information for Authors.
