ITE has eight branches nationwide, each of which engages in activites such as excursions and lecture conferences closely linked to the areas in which they are located. In autumn of each year, for example, the branches host a convention of the local branch of the Institute of Electrical and Information Engineers of Japan. Like ITE's Annual Symposium and Winter Symposium, these conferences are held to provide a forum for members to present research papers.
