Discussion of Arterial Temperature Feature Extraction Method for Heart Rate Measurement Using Thermal Images

(in English) Biometric sensing using a thermovision camera is applied to the measurement of vital signs including body temperature and respiration rate. In this paper, for the heart rate measurement using the temperature information, we examine the method of extracting the temperature feature of the artery. There is a problem that the temperature change of the artery caused by the heartbeat is buried in the temperature change due to the environment. Therefore, in the proposed method, only the arterial temperature is extracted by removing the frequency component of the temperature change due to the environment. Experimental results revealed that the temperature change of the artery was extremely small and changed to 0.01 degrees or less.
