Construction of Large-scale experimental environment for evaluating Advanced Digital Terrestrial TV Broadcasting System

(in English) Research and Development for Advanced Digital Terrestrial TV Broadcasting System is being carried out for transmitting large-capacity contents such as Super Hi-Vision. The transmission method under development has a longer symbol length than ISDB-T, LDPC code are applied to the error correction code, and non-uniformed mapping are applied to the modulation. This means that the transmission characteristics are different from those of the conventional terrestrial television broadcasting. To evaluate the developed transmission method in an actual propagation environment, we are designing and constructing a large scale experimental environment. In this paper, we describe the detailed specifications of the experimental transmission station.
