Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) It has been suggested that changes of self-perception using VR avatars affect the weight perception, but there has been insufficient quantitative investigation of the degree of self-perception generated. In this study, we attempted to quantitatively investigate the impression of avatars and the degree of the weight illusion through a dumbbell weight comparison experiment. As a result, it was confirmed that when the weight was perceived with a weaker (stronger) appearance, the object tended to be perceived as heavier (lighter).
