Development of a diversity reception system for digital terrestrial broadcasting

(in English) It is anticipated that there will be some areas that digital terrestrial broadcasting cannot be received well because of multipath interference or lack of field strength due to such as the topographical factor. One of the effective ways to improve the reception performances is to employ space diversity reception system, in which multiple receiving antennas are used and the received signals are selected or combined. We developed a diversity reception system for application to the stable receiving antenna system. It has been revealed by the field experiment that the proposed diversity reception system is effective.
