One of the features of Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting-Terrestrial (ISDB-T) is mobile reception capability. Previously, we have measured and analyzed propagation characteristics of mobile reception environment in urban and suburban areas. For this research, we measured the field strength of a One-Seg signal with a moving vehicle and analyzed the propagation characteristics of mobile reception in a gorge. The results show that with non line of sight, field strength at 1.8 m was 25.4 dB lower than the free space field strength, and the coverage of One-Seg mobile reception in a gorge is almost the same as that of fixed reception when using 2-branch diversity reception. |
