A Networked Surgical Simulator System for Blood Vessel Deformation
Takashi 0nawa, Masashi Nakagawa, Nobuhiko Mukai, Makoto Kosugi (MI-TECH)
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In a surgical simulator for blood vessel deformation, we propose a deformation method that can make blood vessels longer and shrunk by calculating spring force, where the blood vessel is constructed with mass spring model. Also, some surgical simulators are connected with Client/Server model for corporative surgery and remote operation, and the server has the right of client control for joining and leaving. Finally, this function of the server could make clients join and leave at any time even during the execution of the surgery.
