A charge multiplication CMOS image sensor, 10 μm cell pitch and CIF format is developed. It can execute the charge multiplication using impact ionization reciprocation within each pixel. The result clearly shows that charge multiplication of 60 times at a short period time of 100 micro seconds increases the SNR in low light level. |
