Subjective response to shape, lighting, and appearance for 3D furniture data

(in English) We formulate a method for a new feature description of 3D object models. This method is based on combined descriptors with shape and specular reflexion to retrieve 3D objects with light.
Light plays an important role for form and appearance of 3D objects. We did three-way ANOVA(ANalysis Of VAriance) for lighting, shape, and appearance. We obtain a good relationship between shape and appearance. We compare separate descriptors and combined descriptors for shape and specular reflexion by multiple regression analysis. As a result, we find that the position of specular reflection plays an important role in high-quality response to 3D objects with a spot light.
