Analysis aiding for epigenetic mechanism by image processing

(in English) Epigenetics, which refers to the phenomenon that cells having an identical DNA sequence show mutually different biological characteristics after a cell division, or its related research area. The analysis of such a mechanism fundamentally requires an identification of the parent-child relationship of cells for several generations. Such a process has been performed manually by an expert, which is a very time-consuming task. This paper thus attempts to realize such an analyzing process by using some of the image processing techniques including an edge enhancement and watershed algorithms to construct an analysis adding tool for the epigenetics.
