Experiments about Mobile Reception of the Sending Back Video used with Self-made Low Delay System Based on the Consumer Electronics Products

There is strong needs to establish the system, named “Okuri-Kaeshi”, which send back the on-air program with low delay to OB vehicle by the termination of analogue terrestrial broadcasting. Especially in marathon race, it will be difficult to deliver the on-air program from the studio toward moving OB vehicle with low delay after analogue switch-off. We developed the “Okuri-Kaeshi” system using the consumer electronics products. The transmission link of this system is consisted of the mobile cellular system. This paper describes the results of performance evaluations of this system using the several mobile cellular systems, i.e. 3G and BWA, at the real route of marathon race. |
