An WYSWYG Editor for "Hierarchical and ComPact discription chart" Building
Takahiro Ishikawa, Masashi Okudaira (Tokyo City Univ.)
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) HCP chart is a hierarchical program logic description method developed by NTT. In this chart, data structures, program constructions and their relations are graphically depicted. Thus, it is easier to understand than so called "flow chart". There are some script-based systems to build this chart. However, since compilation process is required to complete the chart, it is somewhat difficult to use. In this article, a Flash based HCP chart editing system is proposed. The system is an WYSWYG editor to build up HCP chart. Since original handwriting fashion is realized and building process is intuitively understandable, it is easier to depict than conventional methods, providing more neat chart.
