(in English) Vertical Overflow Drain (VOD) is most important technology at interline transfer scheme CCD image sensor (IT-CCD), which is main stream of CCD image sensors. The structure and effects of VOD are explained. Then, the history of evolution at VOD is described, containing groundbreaking years, birth of VOD, problems along VOD, development after the birth.
