Multimedia broadcasting is a new type of broadcasting media service for mobile devices. It introduces the new technical standard for broadcasting, “ISDB-Tmm”, and offers the real-time streaming service and the storable file casting service. We explain metadata technologies for ISDB-Tmm with focus on use of metadata in multimedia broadcasting. Also, we developed a metadata system that conforms to the ISDB-Tmm specifications, and evaluated the performance of the system. |
