Microstrip antenna for RF sensor using orthogonal linear polarizations
Hayato Nishimura, Eisuke Nishiyama, Masayoshi Aikawa (Saga Univ)
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this paper, a FM-CW RF sensor using orthogonal linear polarized microstrip array is proposed. The proposed sensor is composed of the antenna array and a slot ring RF mixer and RF amplifiers. The antenna elements can be shared for transmitting and receiving . In the slot ring mixer, the transmitting wave and the receiving wave are multiplied and a beat frequency output is obtained. As the proposed the sensor antenna is contracted using Both-side microwave technology and the RF mixer is arranged in the same plate, the structure is very simple and compact. The characteristics of the sensor antenna are investigated theoretically and experimentally .
