[Special Talk] Progress from stereoscopic to three-dimensional image systems

(in English) The research statuses from stereoscopic to three-dimensional image systems are briefly described. As for stereoscopic images, the psychophysical effects are greater than these of monoscopic images. Other hand, there are some un-expected effects in the stereoscopic images. For improving these defects, the developments of multi-view stereoscopic and three-dimensional image systems are progressed. Multi-view stereoscopic image systems reduced partially defects of stereoscopic image systems. Three-dimensional image systems, which can display objects as the same of the real world, are developed. For examples, three kinds of three-dimensional image systems, whish are consistent with the characteristics of human visual fields, are introduced in this article.
