Effects of Interaction between Human body and Transceiver on Radiation Pattern of Antenna in VHF Band

(in English) The push-to-talk communication line for broadcasting organization is used in VHF band (160MHz Band), and used for a way of communication in the program production. In this report, we designed a helical antenna with a metal case as a handy-type transceiver and calculated the characteristics of the antenna with a numerical human-body model. To investigate the influence of human body on the characteristics of the antenna, we calculated the antenna gain and radiation patterns when the antenna is in the close proximity to the face. As a result, we confirmed that the antenna gain and radiation patterns in the horizontal plane of the antenna degrade slightly with respect to them of the antenna located in the free space in case that the distance between the face and the antenna is more than 100mm.
