Development of Aerial HD shooting for TV program by electric Unmanned Aerial Vehicle
Shuji Inaba (TBS TV)
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This report describes the development of aerial HD video shooting by Electric Quad Rotor UAV. To achieve this objectives, a prototype mount was built to hang a camcorder from the UAV with stabilization mechanism.
The combination of the developed system and the UAV for aerial video offers several advantages such as quiet, engine exhaust gas free and better collision-safety due to lightweight body and propellers made of carbon fiber.
The report also provides a success of aerial HD shooting of ferocious animals very close range.
