人は視線を移動することで外界を見ているが、外界の完全な情報を取得するためには、眼球運動だけでは不十分である。人の視野は限られているため、頭部を動かすことでさらに広い範囲の視覚情報を得る必要がある。眼球運動が頭部運動と協調的に働く場合があることは、いくつかの研究で示されている。頭部運動から視線位置を推定することを最終的な目標とする、本研究では、広い視野における視覚探索時の頭部運動と視線位置を測定し、頭部方向のみから視線位置を推定する統計的方法について検討した。 |

We see the world by moving our eyes, head and body. Because our visual field is limited, we need to move our head and body to obtain visual information from wider areas. It has been reported that eyes and head move in cooperation. Our final goal is to estimate gaze positions solely from head movement. We measured their head and eye movements while participants were searching a target among distractors in a 360 degree wide stimulus field. From these data, we analyzed the relationship between eye position and head orientation in order to quantify the relationship between head and eye movements. |
