This paper introduces dual channel polarization holography as a vector wave recording technique. The principle is explained by considering the incident polarization distribution in some conditions and resultant birefringence distribution. The birefringence distribution is induced by superposing identical or different polarized signal and reference beams. In experiment, two images are independently given to p- and s- polarization components of a signal beam, and simultaneously recorded. Furthermore, it is confirmed that dual channel polarization holography can be combined to a holographic multiplex recording technique. |
