A control method for Image Scanning-type Barcode Reader with a Liquid Lens

(in English) Image scanning-type barcode readers are useful tools for acquiring the object information from camera images. The built-in liquid lens system makes the focusing control easier, but has the disadvantage that the response time is slow. In this paper, the 'over-drive' technique for speeding up the response time and the 'range mapping' technique for decreasing repetitions of the read operation are proposed.
