A Study on Efficient Preservation Method of Positive/Negative Sign of DCT Coefficients

(in English) The positive/negative sign code of the DCT coefficients is important to reconstruct the structural information of image, however, the quantity of the sign code is needed to 1[bit/pel]. In this paper, more important area for the sign code is investigated to increase the image quality of the reconstructed image, and we have discussed the efficient preservation method of the sign code using the parameters in the important area.
