A Study on Hybrid ARQ Method for Bi-directional FPU

(in English) We have started a basic study on a bi-directional transmission system to develop the new microwave band Field Pick-up Unit (FPU) that can efficiently transmit file-based videos.
In FPU system, it is assumed that the amount of information of Uplink containing main file-based videos is 10 to 100 times greater than that of Downlink.
We have adopted an Automatic Repeat reQuest (ARQ) method, that is appropriate for Time Division Duplex (TDD).
This method synchronizes TDD frames and ARQ, therefore we confirmed the high transmission efficiency in disproportionate uplink-to-downlink time ratio.
Also depending on Hybrid ARQ combined by ARQ with Forward Error Correction (FEC),
we confirmed that this method is effective under the state that errors occur.
