Development of highly effective LED lighting equipment

(in English) This paper is written about the development of LED lighting equipment that produces the same amount of light as conventional halogen lights but uses only one fifth as much electricity. In addition to its long lifetime of 20,000 hours, this lighting equipment also satisfies other studio lighting requirements such as the ability to produce soft natural light with a high Color Rendering Index (CRI), and the absence of flicker when images are captured on camera. The equipment has been in use at NHK’s regional broadcasting stations since November 2010.
