Field Test of 2x2 STTC-MIMO-OFDM System

(in English) Feasibility study on a frequency reallocation of Field Pick-up Unit (FPU) system from 700-MHz band to 1.2-GHz or 2.3-GHz band is being carried out. The authors developed 2x2 STTC-MIMO-OFDM system for the new frequencies, revised the transmission equipment, and improved the performance. Using this system, field tests on various road racing courses were conducted. In this report, from the Lake Biwa Marathon course trials, test results on high altitude reception with an outside broadcast van (transmitter) moving in urban area are described.
