Propagation Characteristics of FPU for Road Race in Lake Biwa Mainichi Marathon

(in English) We study on the transmission antennas to achieve more stable transmission of 700MHz band FPU used in the road race live broadcast. Considering the locations of the course and receiver base stations, we have already evaluated an array antenna for the transmitter to create a narrow beam configuration in the course at Kyoto. In this report, we evaluated a parameter of the array antenna in Lake Biwa Mainichi Marathon to improve the cover area of the receiving stations. We confirmed the stability of video transmissions by analyzing and evaluating the propagation data by choosing a proper parameter of the transmission antenna.
