Real-time Generation of Multi-view Naked-eye 3D Vision via Multi-stream Technology and Its Evaluation

Conventional techniques for generating multi-view naked-eye 3D vision suffer from image degradation due to loss of pixel values through tiling multi-view images into an intermediate image. This is because there is a strict limitation on image resolution in MPEG format that forces multi-view images in tiling to be reduced in size. The proposed method generates multi-view 3D vision by making full use of multi-stream technology with no intermediate tiling image and improves the image quality of naked-eye 3D vision substantially. Comparative experiments regarding image quality and evaluation of computational cost demonstrate the validity of the proposed method. |
