There are various digital signage, in which text information moves on a screen. We carried out experiments targeting about the 100 young and elderly subjects to verify the visibility of 3D images contained in text information. The aim of this study was to observe reading of the characters and how easy-to-read the display types were for 3D images. We validated popping distance using character information from 3D images that popped up from the background of stereoscopic images. We analyzed the effects of background color and the virtual positions of the 3D texts. We have found that even in the telop protrusion of the large disparity, it is possible to recognize the position that pop out. |
