CuAlS2:Mn Thin Film EL devices having low threshold voltage

(in English) CuAlS2:Mn red phosphor thin films have been prepared by electron-beam (EB) evaporation method using CuAlS2:Mn phosphor powder pellets as EB evaporation source pellets. The films are crystallized below 500 oC even without post-deposition annealing. The CuAlS2:Mn electroluminescence (EL) devices have a very low threshold voltage of less than 50 V, which is much lower compared to other EL phosphor materials. One of reasons for the low threshold voltage is the charge generation from CuAlS2:Mn layer, which has a low resistivity of 4.8×10-3 Ωcm. CuAlS2:Mn is expected as EL phosphor material for low-temperature process and low-driving voltage.
