Characteristics of 145-inch diagonal Plasma Display Panel for SUPER Hi-VISION

(in English) Over 33 million pixels were arranged on a 145 in. diagonal PDP with a 0.417 mm pixel pitch to reproduce highly realistic SUPER Hi-VISION (SHV) programs on a self-emission and direct-view display. Multiline simultaneous scanning method was applied to allow stable large-screen and high-resolution panel driving. We evaluated the image quality of the prototype SHV PDP, which confirmed that it had wide viewing angle and over 4,000 TV lines resolution for static image.
