Estimation of Electric Field Distribution in Urban Areas Using 1-Ray and 2-Ray Models

(in English) This paper is concerned with a numerical simulation of electric field distributions by using 1-ray and 2-ray models. First, based on the 1-ray and 2-ray models, we introduce the amplitude modification factor α and the propagation order of distance β to deal with propagation problems in complicated urban areas. Next, we show that the two parameters α and β can be determined by comparing the proposed model with Hata's empirical equations. Finally, by applying building coverage and floor space index, we propose a new method for estimating electric field distributions in complicated propagation environments in addition to those areas define by Hata's equations.
