Coding performance comparison between HEVC and AVC/H.264

(in English) This paper provides coding performance comparison between High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) and AVC/H.264 at Super Hi-Vision (SHV) images (7680 x 4320 pixels). For the experiments, 10 various SHV images were used. Coding results of HEVC exhibited coding gains of up to 79.6% from 24.5% and 56.2% on average compared to AVC/H.264.
