A Note on Trend Detection in Popular Music Database

(in English) This paper presents a method for detecting musical trend in popular music database.
The proposed method utilizes Topics over Time(ToT) model to represent temporal trends in popular music as latent topics represented by probability distributions over co-occurrence relationship between audio features.
ToT model is one of probablistic topic models for text analysis which considers not only word co-occurrence relationship but also time when documents were generated.
In order to adapt ToT model to music databese, we use Bag-of-Features representation and enebles the detection of the musical trends.
Finally, we apply our method to classification for evaluating the effectiveness of our method.
