A Note on Classical Music Classification Based on Acoustic Features

(in English) This paper presents a classification method of classical music composer based on acoustic features. The proposed method calculates non-linear subspaces about composers and target music piece using acoustic features extracted from classical music pieces. Next, our method applies the kernel constraint mutual subspace method (KCMSM) to these non-linear subspaces. Then, this method applies the KCMSM to all combinations of two classes, and determines the final classification results by majority vote. Experimental results are shown to verify the performance of the proposed method.
