[Invited Talk] Improvement of Luminous Efficacy of Powder EL Device -- Study on the design of phosphor layer --

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page) 
(in English) The typical luminous efficacy of commercially available powder EL is around 10 lm/W, when ZnS:Cu phosphor is used. In this study, the authors demonstrate even higher efficacy of >20 lm/W using original design method for the phosphor layer. Optimization of design parameters of the phosphor layer such as layer thickness, dielectric constant, color conversion pigment are discussed.
