An optical disk including an active layer such as InSb indicates super-resolution phenomena making it possible to read out pits smaller than the diffraction limit. In this study, the multi-physics simulation of light propagation and thermal conduction in the optical disk has been carried out. It is found that distribution of the incident light intensity becomes narrow due to melting of the active layer. The response function of super-resolution has also been obtained by the simulation of readout signal from the disk with small pit structure. |
