IEC-based color scheme support system using the statistics of color scheme

(in English) This paper reports a novel statistic-based interactive evolutionary computation (IEC) method for color scheme search. Our proposed method has two contributions: 1) to reduce the computing cost, and 2) to maintain the overall color scheme impressions. In addition, this study uses four similarity search (SS) functions on the basis of hue, saturation, brightness and color differences. Through two experimental evaluations, we affirmed that a system using our method and four SS functions enables users to find their desired color scheme in less than 50 sec, and users can get some favorite re-colored illustrations by the color transfer function.
