In this paper, we use the 1-ray model to estimate electromagnetic field distration and distribution of the communication distance in complicated propagation environments. In the real environment, it is hard to calculate them accurately because of various kinds of attenuation occurred by reflection or diffraction. We have arranged the 1-ray model in order to deal with propagation problems by introducing the amplitude modification factor α and the propagation order of distance β. The two parameters α and β can be determined by comparing the proposed model with the Okumura-Hata model. Applying building coverage ratio to the 1-ray models, we propose a new method to estimate electromagnetic field distributions in various kinds of environments, in addition to the three areas defined by the Okumura-Hata model. We show some numerical examples of estimated distributions of α and communication distance in Fukuoka city. |
