The sky plays an important role in creating realistic images of outdoor scenes in computer graphics. Environment mapping is a popular technique to display the sky and creates realistic effects such as reflection of the sky on objects. However, it is not guaranteed to create user-desired results by using photographs as environmental maps. In this paper, we propose a method that enables the user to create user-desired environmental maps of the sky. Our method creates environmental maps by seamlessly compositing several photographs of the sky. |
