This paper presents a method for defining soccer player's features using network analysis and calculating similarity between players based on the defined features. For analysis of soccer player's features, not only characteristics of individual play but also relationships between players performing group tactics and team tactics are important factors. Therefore, we define soccer player's features based on the relationships extracted by using network analysis in addition to player's features based on characteristics of individual play calculated from player's position and movement. By using these features, the similarity calculation between players becomes feasible. Experimental results obtained by using soccer videos show the effectiveness of the proposed method. |
