In recent years, with the progress of cameras and sensors, image processing technology has been used in various fields, such as medical treatment, education, and welfare. Moreover, the image-processing technology is used for measuring the motion of a human body. However, there is a little application to medical diagnosis about the body motions. In diagnosis of the Parkinson's disease, the method of evaluating clinical symptoms is common now. The doctor judges the condition of disease by observing the motion of the body visually. However, it is a visual determination to lack in objectivity because of the individual difference between doctors. Moreover, it is very difficult to have the detail measurement. We need the system that evaluates a condition of Parkinson's disease from the movement of the body. In this study, we relate image processing technology to the evaluation of the Parkinson disease condition. We have created the system that measures motions of human body using color image and distance image. By this way, we hope to evaluate the conditions of disease correctly and precisely. |
