This paper presents image retrieval based on evaluation of retrieval results by scanning electron microphotographs (SEM images). Specifically, the proposed method calculates image features from query image and images in dataset. We retrieve images based on distances between features of query and dataset images. Then, we evaluate retrieval results, and rerank retrieval results based on evaluation of retrieval results. By reranking, query vector should move towards the high evaluation value images and away from the low high evaluation value images. In addition, the proposed method introduces inventory information with SEM images. By using inventory information, we can retrieve images which is similar to the high evaluation value images. By the above method, accurate image retrieval is expected. Experimental results obtained by applying the proposed method to actual scanning electron microphotographs show its effectiveness. |
