Post-annealing effect on magnetic properties and microstructures of CoPt based granular media

(in English) Magnetic properties and microstructure of Co80Pt20−30 vol.% (Al2O3, TiO2, WO3) and Co82.4Pt17.6−27.7 vol.% SiO2 granular media post annealed at various temperatures in a heat-treating furnace were investigated. As the results, among these granular media, CoPt−WO3 granular medium which has low intergranular exchange coupling and well isolated magnetic grains shows the highest coercivity (Hc) of around 10.8 kOe. The giant Hc is enhanced by post annealing which increase the magnetic anisotropy field (Hkgrain) and the uniaxial magneto-crystalline anisotropy (Kugrain) of the columnar growth magnetic grains. The increase of Kugrain for the post annealed granular film is primarily originated from the reduction of the stacking faults inside the magnetic grains.
