Laboratory Experiment for SC-FDE in 42-GHz Band

(in English) The authors have been studying a single-carrier transmission scheme with frequency domain equalization (SC-FDE) for millimeter-wave band FPUs (Field Pick-up Unit) and wireless cameras. To investigate the degradation of transmission performance against output back-off of power amplifier in 42-GHz band mobile multi-path environment, a laboratory experiment was carried out. SC-FDE signal was amplified in non-linear region of a 42-GHz band power amplifier with an output back-off as a parameter. After that, transmission performance through dynamic multi-path channel was evaluated. As a result, even though the output back-off becomes as small as 2dB, the degradation of required received CNR (Carrier to Noise power Ratio) for quasi error-free can remain small enough.
