Simple Simulation Modeling for Readout Signal of an Optical Disc -- Expansion of Hopinks's Scalar Diffraction Theory --

(in English) New simple simulation modeling for a readout signal of an optical disc is proposed. This proposed modeling resolves a problem that a complicated formulating proceeding was necessary for the modeling of the random data sequence recorded on the optical disc, directly applying Hopkins’s scalar diffraction theory. In this study, introducing a unit of rectangle
region, it is possible to formulate the complex reflective coefficient of a various type of optical discs without the complicated formulating proceeding. Moreover, the expansion of Hopkins’s scalar diffraction theory to a super-resolution optical disc is described.
