[Invited Lecture] A Study of SC-FDE for Millimeter-Wave Wideband Transmission System

(in English) The authors have been studying a single-carrier transmission with frequency domain equalization (SC-FDE) for millimeter-wave band wireless cameras, where compact size and low power consumption are required. The wideband transmission system using SC-FDE method for the expansion of the transmission capacity was studied. Then the deterioration through a millimeter-wave power amplifier and the transmission performance in AWGN and multi-path channels were simulated. As a result, compared with Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM), it is showed that the transmission margin in the link budget with 16-Amplitude Phase Shift Keying SC-FDE system can be improved by about 5dB.
