Segmentation of Phalanges Regions on MR Images Based on MSGVF Snakes

(in English) In diagnostic imaging of phalanges, X-ray and CT images are used to evaluate the value of phalanges destruction. Especially, MRI is used mainly to diagnose the lesion in soft tissue. It is possible to detect in early stages by using the MR images. In order to detect abnormalities and analyze the abnormal structures image processing technique can provide a useful skill. However, the large number of images make burden to the radiologist. Therefore, to reduce the burden, CAD (Computer Aided Diagnosis) system is expected from the medical fields. In this paper, we proposed an automatic segmentation algorithm of phalanges regions on MR images based on MSGVF Snakes algorithm.
