Synthesis and luminescent properties of Eu2+-activated Alkaline and Alkaline Earth silicate phosphors.

(in English) Eu2+-activated alkaline and alkaline earth silicate phosphors Na2Ba6Si4O15:Eu2+and Li2Ca2Si5O13:Eu2+has been synthesized using solid state reaction with gas and gas/carbon reduction, respectively. A single phase Na2Ba6Si4O15:Eu2+ exhibits a blue emission due to Eu2+ peaking at about 440 nm. Li2Ca2Si5O13:Eu2+ shows a yellow-green emission due to Eu2+ under near-UV to blue light excitation.
