A Note on Detecting Time Series Variation of Hierarchical Structure of Web Video Groups

This paper presents a method that enables detection of time series variation of hierarchical structure of Web video groups, i.e., Web video sets with similar topics. The proposed method enables to grasp the overview of many Web videos and understand the popularity trends. Specifically, our method extracts hierarchical structure of Web video groups and estimates representative keywords of each Web video group. Then our method calculates similarities between Web video groups, which are extracted in different time stamps, on the basis of co-occurrences of their representative keywords. By tracking Web video groups on the basis of the obtained similarities, it becomes feasible to detect time series variation of hierarchical structure of Web video groups. |
